What is Biomedical Engineering?
The most important thing for a human being is his survival.
Everyone knows that everyone has to die but still no one wants to die.
People try so hard to avoid this death. Although death can happen due to any reason, but diseases play the most important role in this.
Diseases make our body shabby.
Therefore, it is very important to treat any disease at the right time, otherwise the condition can even reach death.
This is the reason why health is kept at the top all over the world.
That's why hospitals and health systems are improving day by day and new developments keep happening in them every day.
The most important thing in maintaining health is that diseases are detected at the right time and this work cannot be done by seeing with the eyes.
For this equipment is required. Tools related to the human body may be easy to process, i.e., but their design and the system in which they work, are very complex.
Along with this, it is also very important to take care that there is no side effect on the body by using such equipment.
Therefore, for the design of such equipment, knowledge of these two different fields, engineering and medical, is required simultaneously.
Therefore, these tools require such people who have knowledge of both these subjects. Such people are called Biomedical Engineers and the field in which such engineers emerge after studying is known as 'Biomedical Engineering'.
So in this way biomedical engineering is the work of making equipment used in medical, taking care of them and studying their effects on the human body.
If we divide the word 'Biomedical Engineering' into three parts, then its meaning can be understood better which is as follows: Bio means life i.e. living matter i.e. human body medical, i.e. health related, and Engineering means the activity of making something.
So in this way it completely means that the field of manufacturing the necessary equipments for maintaining the health of the human body.
What do Biomedical Engineers do?
When we have understood its meaning then it will also be very easy to understand what biomedical engineers do.
Since this field is very broad and hence this field is divided into many departments such as Bio Instrumentation, Systems Physiology, Rehabilitation Engineering, Bio Mechanics etc.
By the way, the most basic job of Biomedical Engineers is to make, maintain and maintain equipment related to human health.
Taking proper care of their texture and understanding their effects on the human body but this basic function takes more special form according to different departments.
For example, tissue and stem cell engineers work to create artificial forms of cells and tissue(s) present in the human body, so that if there is a disturbance in a particular cell or tissue in the body and remove it from the body.
If needed, this artificial form can be installed in their place.
The act of establishing this is known as transplantation.
This helps in the smooth functioning of the body.
We can also take clinical engineers as another example.
The main job of these engineers is to check the medical equipments from time to time and make sure whether their use is safe for health and body or whether their use does not expire or there is no defect in them etc. When we have understood its meaning then it will also be very easy to understand what biomedical engineers do.

Examples of equipment made by a Biomedical Engineer
Examples include: pacemakers, artificial hearts, valves, artificial joint replacement devices, machines used to measure sugar levels in diabetics, etc.
Use of Biomedical Engineering
The most important use is that it helps in understanding the complexities of the human body.
This helps to see the internal parts of the body, so that if there is any problem or disease in any part of the body such as stomach, liver, kidney, etc., then it can be easily detected. Examples of some of the instruments used in this are: X-ray, MRI, CT scan, etc.
If there is a defect in a particular part of the body and it becomes very important to remove it from the body, then the artificial form of that part is installed in the body so that the work of the body is not obstructed.

Future use of Biomedical Engineering
Every human is very dear to his life and to survive his life it is very important to be healthy.
Today, in the amount of new diseases knocking, there is no such quantity of treatment and medicines.
Therefore, in the future, the field of biomedical engineering can help in creating such devices that can help humans to cope with diseases. Till now no cure has been found for dangerous diseases like AIDS and cancer.
There is so much potential in this biomedical field that in the future, a device can be manufactured to avoid and treat these diseases.
In a way, the state of the health system in the world today has the potential to make it even better in the future.
So biomedical engineering, a confluence of two distinct fields, medical and engineering, is primarily concerned with the creation of devices that help identify and treat diseases. To know the complex design of such devices and their working process (engineering), their care and their effect on the human body and their use in improving health (biomedical), complete knowledge of the human body and the field of engineering.
Knowledge, it is very important to have both of these and hence a separate field formed by combining all this is known as Biomedical Engineering.
This field is a unique amalgamation of mainly four main subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
This field has produced many health-related prosthetic devices which have greatly helped in improving human health.
Along with this, the responsibility of making the health system even better in future can also be played by this sector very well.
Overall, biomedical engineering plays an important role in the care of human health with the help of its own equipment.
